A Taste to be Different....

Picture
Empanada is common nowadays, from home made to commercial empanadas of pastry shops; each has their own version.  Batac Empanada is the indigenous version that originated in Ilocos Norte.  Gloria Aduana Cocson, made empanada famous here in Batac.  It was then made only from grated papaya and splited monggo, but nowadays, it is now with egg and longganisa or you can even customize your empanada from the choices of egg, longganisa and hotdog for those who are craving for heavy meal....

It is a "taste to be Different" because we make our own Longganisa.  Glomy's longganisa in Batac is different from other longganisa of the neighboring towns here in Ilocos Norte and even in Ilocos Sur.  Our longganisa has a distinct garlic flavor compared to the one's in Vigan City.
